Visit Wing Haven for the Great Backyard Bird Count, a global community science project by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the National Audubon Society. On February 13 and 16 from 9 AM–1 PM, quietly explore the gardens or settle into a peaceful spot to observe and record the birds you see—contributing valuable data that helps scientists study bird populations.

Volunteers from Wing Haven and the Mecklenburg Audubon Society will be available to lead guided walks, answer questions, and support participants of all ages and experience levels. Coffee and water will be provided (please bring a reusable cup).

This free event is open to everyone, and advance registration is required.
