Butterfly Project Homeschool Workshop
The Butterfly Project invites kids to learn about the Holocaust through a powerful blend of art, education, and remembrance. In this meaningful, hands-on experience, children will paint ceramic butterflies to honor the lives of Holocaust victims and survivors while listening to age-appropriate stories that inspire empathy, compassion, and reflection.

Get ready for a high-energy day of learning at the STEAM Expo at Charlotte Motor Speedway! Students will dive into an interactive scavenger hunt, test their skills with racing simulations and pit stop challenges, and meet real race car drivers while getting an up-close look at the powerful vehicles they drive. This exciting event blends science, technology, engineering, art, and math with the thrill of motorsports — a perfect way to ignite curiosity and make learning unforgettable!

Parents and guardians must stay with their children at all times. Advance registration is required, and tickets are available on the Allstare Gymnastics website. Walk-ins will not be permitted.

Homeschool Days on the Farm
Homeschoolers can enjoy a fun and educational field trip to the farm, with seasonal lessons and picking activities. In the spring, participants will learn how strawberries are harvested and pick a pound of fruit to take home! In the fall, they’ll discover how pumpkins grow and get to take home a small pumpkin. Lessons are offered every hour throughout the day. While general admission to the farm is free, visitors can enhance their experience by adding on special activities.

Mid-Day Madness

Take advantage of Education Days at Carowinds, where kids of all ages can have fun and learn the science behind their favorite rides! Students will engage in interactive stations covering Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics when they test their knowledge with hands-on activities. Experiment with circuits, discover the role of magnetism in roller coasters, explore the mechanics of simple machines, and more! This is the ultimate field trip you won't want to miss!
