VolunThursday - Tree Maintenance & Tree ID Event

Join Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services for a hands-on learning and volunteer opportunity focused on Tree Maintenance and Identification. Volunteers will help prune, straighten, and remove invasive plants from young trees planted to reforest the floodplain. You’ll also have the chance to meet with staff to learn how to identify and measure trees!

CMSWS hosts volunteer events on the Second Saturday and Last Thursday of every month, along with additional opportunities throughout the year so there’s always a new way to participate!

Important Details:

• Each volunteer, including minors, must sign up individually.

• All minors must be accompanied by an adult.

• There is no minimum age; however, cleanup activities may involve uneven or steep terrain and wading in streams.

• For safety, children under 10 should stay out of the streams and be closely supervised at all times.
